Nestlé India Falls 7% Despite 36% Profit Growth as Rising Food Inflation Worries Investors

Nestlé India shares plunged around 7% after Q2 FY27 results, despite a 36.3% YoY rise in consolidated net profit to ₹1,027 crore. Revenue increased 20.5% to ₹6,782 crore, while EBITDA grew 31% to ₹1,615 crore and margins improved to 23.8%. However, management warned of rising food inflation and higher costs for packaging, edible oils and agricultural commodities. Investors fear sustained input-cost pressures could challenge future profitability despite strong sales growth.
