Nifty IT Leads Sectoral Gains, Jumps 3.2%; Tech Mahindra, Wipro and Infosys Rally
Nifty IT emerged as the top-performing sector on Friday, rising 3.2% and extending its weekly rally to around 13%. Tech Mahindra surged nearly 7% after reporting better-than-expected Q2 revenue and strong deal wins worth $1.02 billion. Wipro gained around 6% as revenue beat estimates, while Infosys climbed 4% amid improving sector sentiment. Strong Q2 results from HCLTech and TCS, optimism over AI-led services and expectations of improving client spending have further boosted IT stocks.
