Axis Bank Q2: Net Profit Jumps 38% to ₹7,003 Crore; Provisions Halve, Asset Quality Improves
Axis Bank reported a 37.6% year-on-year jump in standalone net profit to ₹7,003 crore for Q2 FY27, announced on October 17. Net interest income (NII) rose 11.8% to ₹15,371 crore, while net interest margin stood at 3.36%. Provisions declined over 52% year-on-year to ₹1,694 crore. Asset quality improved, with gross NPA falling to 1.16% from 1.46% a year ago and net NPA at 0.35%. However, profit missed analyst estimates.
