India-China Border Face-Offs Continue Since July; MEA Flags Chinese Patrol Deviations, ITBP Pushes Drone Warfare
India-China face-offs have continued at multiple locations along Arunachal Pradesh’s border since July 2026, according to Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) chief Shatrujeet Kapur. MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said Chinese forces’ deviations from established patrolling patterns periodically disturb the Line of Actual Control (LAC), stressing that peace is essential for bilateral ties. Kapur warned that conventional military resources alone may be insufficient against China’s modernised People’s Liberation Army, stressing the need for stronger drone and anti-drone capabilities.
