Tata Motors Shares Rise 4.7% as Amazon Partners to Deploy 3,000 Electric Trucks Across India
Tata Motors will supply 3,000 electric trucks to Amazon’s transportation network in India, marking the country’s largest electric-truck deployment by an e-commerce company. The first batch of Tata Ultra E.7 trucks was flagged off in Delhi on October 27. The trucks will transport shipments across cities, facilities and national freight routes. The partnership will also expand charging infrastructure, including along the 2,800-km Delhi–Bengaluru–Chennai corridor. Tata Motors shares rose 4.74% to ₹402.25 as of 1 pm IST.
