Tata Motors Completes €3.43 Billion Iveco Takeover, Creates World’s Fourth-Largest Commercial Vehicle Group
Tata Motors has acquired an 89.42% stake in Italy’s Iveco for approximately €3.43 billion, creating the world’s fourth-largest commercial vehicle group, with annual revenue of ₹2.28 lakh crore (€21 billion) and sales of around 5.9 lakh vehicles. The combined business operates across 130-plus countries, with 27 manufacturing sites, 25 R&D centres and over 73,000 employees. Tata is exploring local assembly of select Iveco vehicles in India through the semi-knocked-down route, while also targeting overseas expansion, higher margins and revenue growth.
