Adani Airports CEO Tells Foreign Airlines: Shift to Navi Mumbai or Stop Flying to Mumbai
Adani Airport Holdings CEO Arun Bansal has warned foreign airlines that they must shift some operations to Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) or temporarily suspend flights to Mumbai as redevelopment work at Mumbai airport’s Terminal 1 approaches. The demolition is scheduled to begin in April 2027, requiring some international operations to move from Terminal 2. Foreign carriers have resisted the proposal, citing inadequate consultation and operational concerns. IndiGo and Air India Group have already agreed to shift selected services to NMIA.
